BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION LEVEL 3 DEVELOPING TO FUNCTIONAL SKILLS TUTOR

  • Location: Sunderland
  • Salary: £14,000 per annum rising to up to £30,000 once qualified.

The responsibilities of this role are to support the functional skills lead and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with both internal and external customers. We are recruiting an individual who is keen to develop, the role will develop from business administrator to a qualified functional skills tutor via our own in-house training.

With a focus on adding value, the role of initially, business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested.

The flexibility and responsiveness required will allow you as an apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.

Duties will include:

·Updating excel spreadsheets

·Using the ‘Vault’ system to update learner records

·Analysing data from Skills Builder to discuss with functional skills lead

·Liaising with the functional skills lead and communicating with learners

·Making appointments

(Additional tasks as and when required)

The business administration role will then develop with further training (including the Education and Training qualification) into the role of functional skills tutor. 

Predominantly, the role of a functional skills tutor is to provide inspirational teaching and learning to learners. As a tutor you will support excellence in assessment to ensure learners reach the highest standards possible.

Duties include:

·Work closely with the functional skills lead to promote a positive team spirit within the team.

·Manage a caseload of learners to succeed so they achieve their full potential.

·Deliver a full range of Functional Skills English, Maths, and ICT to Level 2. This must be of a high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.

·Facilitate Skills Builder Initial and Diagnostic assessments with learners and use results to create individual ISPs (Individual Skills Plans).
